Volume 1: Frozen Ropes and Dying Quails - Lyrics
It seems as Yep Roc has been shipping out the album already to the people who have pre-ordered it. When you open the album you will find that there is a little voucher inside that enables you to download 2 more tracks, the instrumental "Golden Sombrero" and "The Ballad of Mike Kekich And Fritz Peterson" sung by Steve Wynn.
And so we launch our lyric section of the album, with the regular lyrics if you wanna sign along to the tunes. Or you can use the Wikipedia version, which gives links to the Wikipedia encyclopedia, in case you don't have a baseball history and like to find out what or who all these songs are actually about. So feel free to send me a mail if you think i missed something there. Hope you all enjoy the album, and have fun watching the game Posted on 02 Jul 2008 by Stoffel
"I got a foul ball in Minnesota" - The baseball Project on sportsline.com
Another nice article about the baseball project, this time from sportsline.com, with some quotes from Scott and Steve.
![]() Photo by Scott McCaughey "The record works for two reasons. First, because of that clear passion for and knowledge of the game; and second, because it is way loud and incredibly hooky. The end result? Think Ragged Glory-era Neil Young, had he focused his lyric-writing energy on baseball instead of love and peace and model trains." Full story bellow Posted on 02 Jul 2008 by Stoffel

The Minus 5 Limited edition vinyl EP in October
from the minus 5 myspace page
"Hey there people... Just put up the M5 version of "Burned" -- the fantastic Neil Young Buffalo Springfield number. It's a "TASTE" of the forthcoming six-song vinyl 12-inch, which Yep Roc has kindly agreed to release in October. And that EP will feature a small "TASTE" of the full-length CD coming out in January, as well as a batch of tunes exclusive to this particular slab of wax, including "BURNED" amongst them. Hope you enjoy!" Exclusively, and limited, Scorch McT Posted on 28 Jun 2008 by Stoffel
