The Minus Five: . Part of Kurt Bloch's two-night holiday extravaganza, "An Evenings in Edenbrook Forest". The Minus 5 played one night and the Young Fresh Fellows the other (I don't recall which came first). The Minus 5 included Scott, Peter, Barrett Martin, and I think John Ramberg. Scott also played one night with his Nick Lowe cover band, the Lowe Beats. Christy McWilson, the Model Rockets, the Fastbacks, Pure Joy, the Maroons, Huge Spacebird, and Roy Loney also performed over the course of the two nights; a compilation CD featuring all of the bands was given out at the door each night. (The CD includes the Minus 5 song Government Center.)

Scott joined the Kings to play sleigh bells on a few tunes. The Minus 5 closed the night (no Peter Buck) by playing the first Modern Lovers album in its entirity.

The Minus 5 played as a last-minute replacement for another band that had cancelled, so the band was quickly thrown together and everything was unrehearsed. After The Minus Five set Peter Buck and Scott McCaughey ran over to a different stage and played the last part of Christy McWilson's set.

Ken wore a set of scary plastic teeth given to him by someone in the audience. This was a CD release show for Minus 5 and The New Original Sonic Sound; autographed copies of In Rock were available. The New Original Sonic Sound is an all-star Sonics ('60s Northwest rock legends) cover band featuring Scott on keyboards, plus members of Mudhoney, Gas Huffer, Girl Trouble, and Tuatara sax player Craig Flory.
