"Several lambs were verily injured." Most compositions were recorded at Studio Litho, Seattle, by Kurt, with the unflappable assistance of Floyd Rietsma.
"The dawn comes and no one receives it in his mouth, for there no morn or hope is possible." Chapters 5 and 10 were committed at SOMA, Chicago, with Mike Jorgensen as Colonel Knob.
"Their destiny to march in rows, muskets shouldered, a bible skewered on each bayonet." Eric Lovre captured 11 and 13 in a living room in Turner, Oregon.
"Falling over barbed wire into a sea of mud, the advance to the grave of Tim Hardin decisively repelled." Additional pontificating and Jesuit-slinging at the Treehouse, the Stringfellow kitchen (Seattle not Paris), Morgan Fisher's Keyboard World (Tokyo), and the Convention Center Econolodge (Portland).
